COONE Drops his Single,”WANNA PLAY HOUSE”, as Part of his Newest Album

Belgian producer Koen Bauweraerts, widely known as COONE, has returned by dropping yet another high-powered single. The track, “WANNA PLAY HOUSE” happens to be one of COONE’s newest hits from his album titled, ‘Loyalty is Everything’. Besides spreading his love for Hardstyle around the globe, COONE himself has been working hard over the past year to put together this 12-track project alongside his very own label, Dirty Workz.

Photo taken from Facebook.

“WANNA PLAY SOME HOUSE” includes an array of multiple drops that nicely raise the bar each time the BPM intensify. The lyrics, which include “Y’all want this party started” follows each drop with heavy percussions blended with a sound where Big Room meets old-school Hardstyle. One of my favorite drops has to be the last one where you hear hard-hitting notes comparable to reverse bass, a perfect way to end the track. Surely, with this piece as a part of COONE’s new album (hard copies set to release in January 2021) it seems it’s going to be one of his most gripping to date. MVUNG – The Trap-Lord Down Under

Written By: Chase Wilson

Australian-based producer MVUNG came swinging at our Isolation Compilation, and his track “CHROMED” had our jaws scraping the floor. The loud, in-your-face, aggressive single crowns itself with an almost haunting use of bass in the buildups that combine with the other elements present in the drops to absolutely wreck face when it gets down to it. MVUNG‘s no stranger to experimental trap, and you can fact-check that by checking some of his tracks, like “Artillery” with Hollimon. His ability to experiment and come up with something that pushes himself and his music is his hallmark, and with him continuing to hone and design his style and craft, it’s in your best interest to keep an eye on MVUNG. See what he has to say on his start, his influences, and his plans post-COVID as well as why he should be prosecuted over lip balm, or the absence of!

When did you start dabbling in electronic music? What about producing?

“I only actually started enjoying electronic music at the start of 2018. I started seriously trying to learn production in about September 2018.”

If you had a top 5 list for EDM, what artists would make the cut?

“Without a doubt, mine would be: Yojas, Nxsty, ATLiens, Krischvn and SVDDEN DEATH.”

Post COVID, what plans do you have regarding the future of MVUNG?

“Just before covid hit, I had plans to move to Brisbane to be closer to the scene that month, once this whole thing blows over that’s my #1 priority still.”

What music or new artists have you found yourself listening to recently?

“Been bumping that new CHOMPPA on Deadbeats non-stop! Along with CVPTVGONS 5 new releases this month, I’m pretty set for new music. “Block by Gentis is probably my favourite new tune at the moment though.”

What odd item or accessory do you bring with you everywhere?

“If you catch me on the street without at least 1 lip balm; prosecute me.”

What was the production process like for you on your track “Chromed” with us on the Isolation EP?

“Honestly had some of the most fun making “CHROMEDI’ve had making any tune. The whole thing was just one big sound design experiment, and to see how many different wook basses I could make out of this one wack 808. Turns out you can make a fair few.”

The Scoop on Snxxz3 – Houston’s Very Own

Houston-based trap producer Snxxz3 (Snoozy) makes his return to the site, this time as one of the winners of our Isolation Compilation, and also bringing a new track to sprinkle on our ears. Real name Jeremy Cruz, Snxxz3 has been on a tear during the dreaded year of 2020, pumping out tracks like “Hibernatin,” an energetic trap bump with out-of-the-box ideas building off slamming 808s. Today, we took some of Snxxz3‘s time and asked him a couple questions regarding his past and present, his goals for the future, and more!

attached-lmlu3

“I’ve been Producing since I was 15, I’m 29 now so it’s been well over a decade.”

What made you want to start producing/performing?

“It all started in my early high school days. I had a really close friend at the time that loved to rap. He just needed a producer to give him an original sound and that’s where I came in. I’ve always had a passion for Hip Hop music and a love for the culture. It wasn’t until I heard Skrillex years later that made my whole perspective of a producer shift. He inspired me to get out of my comfort zone and to create new sounds. Truly a Legend that guy!”

How would you describe your sound and how did you develop it?

“I’ve been told I make Hood Bops with the sassiest bounciest sounds lol. I’m really open format though, you never know what to expect from me. One-day I’ll make some house music; next I’m making Rnb/Hiphop and then one-day I’ll be on my experimental Trap Shieee. I don’t like to be confined to just one genre! I developed by reverse engineering my favorite tracks! I would study the arrangement; instrumentation, the mix and I would attempt to remake that track! I still do that to this day, it helps me grow as an Artist/Producer.”

Who are your top 5 producers? Who would you most want to collab with?

“This is tough affff! Honestly, I don’t have an order just ones that come off the top! So, BOOM! Skrillex, Noah 40 Shebib, Timbaland, Yojas and anyone from Partica. I know I cheated, there’s just too many dope producers outchea to only name 5. lol At the moment though, Hiphop wise, Drake has been on my list for yearsss. I have buku, ideas for him that I know he would snap on plus I got that Houston/Trap culture flowing through me! As far as the EDM scene, Skrillex of course! Yojas im still coming for you too!”

What’s something that’s always in your bag that no one has any idea about?

“I typically got Oatmeal pies with me lol. If you were to check my bag and there wasn’t one in there, it’s probably because I already ate it. lmfao

Click on his socials below, check his new track Hollow Tip out, and be ready for Friday when his winning track comes out on the Isolation EP!

Everything you Need to Know About Trillvo’s Isolation EP Winner CADOFOX

Written by Chase Wilson and Sina Watson

Music runs deep within the bloodline of 18-year-old producer Angel Acevedo known as CADOFOX, as he comes from a long line of traditional Mexican folk musicians. Having grown up in California and Virginia with a father that freelances as a DJ, Angel began producing at the young age of 10-years-old. CADOFOX’s sound production explores the darker themes of sound design with drops that are primarily groove based and massive sample manipulation. His use of unconventional and broken sounds deliver that “glitchy” and “sporadic” feeling.

Getting to know CADOFOX.

What made you want to start producing/performing?
EDM piqued my interest when a few of my friends introduced me to Skrillex, through which I discovered other artists like Zomboy and Virtual Riot. Once I realized that all my new favorite songs were made electronically, I wanted to try to do it myself and started having ideas on what I would want my own music to sound like.
Who/what has been your inspiration?
I would say as far as artists, no one has yet to inspire me as much as Moore Kismet has. I’ve gone through periods of inspiration from many artists, but I didn’t really start pushing my limits and thinking outside the box until I discovered Moore‘s stuff. Some of my biggest inspirations from outside of conventional EDM are people like Jacob Collier, Ben Levin, and Adam Neely.
Who are your top 5 producers? Who would you most want to collab with?
I would say Moore Kismet, Jon Casey, Dr. Ozi, Soltan, and Jacob Collier. That is a really tough question, but I think combining the realm of dubstep and trap sound design with Jacob Collier‘s style would yield the most interesting and unique results. It is an extremely close decision though.
What is your creative process like?
I would say my creative process always starts with a general vibe in mind. I usually go for darker themes, but I branch off too. Drops for me are primarily groove-based, and I like to pay extra attention to how things flow rhythmically. After that, it’s just making or finding sounds that serve that groove well. Sound design is also a huge portion of my process. Sample manipulation is my favorite, and a phrase I like to live by is no sample is a bad sample. A great portion of my creative flow is finding new programmatic and generative ways to make new and unique sounds.

Hobbies outside of music?

I have too many, to be honest. I love digital art, and spend a lot of my time outside of music taking pictures, drawing or doing graphic design, 3D rendering, and doing various other little things, which usually tie back into my music in some way. I also like to pick up random little less than useful skills like solving a Rubik’s cube really fast, pen spinning, and flipping around a butterfly knife.

Currently CADOFOX is balancing the normal stressors of high school like applying for college. As he prepares for his music school audition, CADOFOX is working on a full EP. Not only is he a talented young producer, but also very skilled in visual arts. He spends his free time outside capturing photos, drawing or working on his graphic design skills seen on his Instagram.

We’re excited to share “Short Circuit” with you this Friday and expect CADOFOX to be a name you hear often within the electronic community.

Pre-Save “Short Circuit” here.

“Love it when I can hear something original and different and instantly feel hooked on it. It’s such a refreshing feeling given the bland copy-cat culture of today’s dance music landscape.. good stuff Cado.”

NAZAAR

When we first heard this song on the zoom call, I was absolutely blown away. I can’t even believe somebody is capable of doing something this fucking good. But here we are. Super glad this one is coming out”

BRAVEAUX’s “Requiem” EP Takes Trap to the Next Level (OUT NOW)

Hailing from the city of Los Angeles is DJ/Producer BRAVEAUX (pronounced “ Bra-Vo’). He began practicing guitar in middle school before moving into electronic music and production in 2016 with the hopes of bringing people together through music. Growing up, he discovered a passion for basketball and looked to his role model Kobe Bryant for inspiration during his journey through music. Kobe’s hard work and determination were the driving fundamentals behind his commitment to success.

His determination to succeed soon paid off when his “The Devil’s Den” remix caught the ears of Trap Legend Carnage & Hard Dance Heavy-hitter, GRAVEDGR. After playing the track out at both Parookaville and Hard Summer, it then went on to receive support from Acraze, Dirty Audio, and Rawtek.

Requiem is filled to the brim with mesmerizing build-ups, face-wrenching drops, and 808s proven to shake speakers down to their wires, all while maintaining the same combination of hype and drip BRAVEAUX has come to be known for. With support from legendary trap artists, as well as support from those taking over trap, BRAVEAUX is now looking to cement his spot in Trap and has certainly earned all eyes on him.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 0ndHjwce-4xWXtMs0eSpiRfigUgiHPBpU0t4yqmtkPJxZBej6L7FmHOnrTmriOYQ8YlcnW6i_HQ8C2nw0Q7sJSgSYjj5RH5MiRLVO4fHewu68u8zIamisIrCp66I3qOv3wY24lAd

Requiem perfectly personifies it’s own title, as the three tracks in combination with each other create a ghastly, destructive, and downright lethal environment. “Bandit’s Secret” launches us off with sirens and an eerie beat, building up and dropping off into a goldmine of unique, intricate combinations of sounds. Titular track “Requiem” doubles-down and unleashes chilling grand-hall vocals combined with loud church bells, seemingly setting us down in a church touched by ruin and death. “The Spider” suspends and keeps you on edge, as if you truly are being held hostage in a giant spider’s enthralling web. Requiem as an EP is masterfully made, capturing and placing us all into a death-filled wasteland. BRAVEAUX’s mastermind continues to ensnare the masses on his journey through music.

Written by Victoria Garces

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to rule your own Kingdom? Of course you have… but have you wondered what your theme song would be while ruling? Look no further because we found it. This new track by Sovereign is an orchestral masterpiece!

“Thronus” is a heavy midtempo track with harmonious chords and sounds throughout it, creating a very classical and ominous orchestral feel to it. The dark undertones really round out the true essence of the track. Sovereign has this trait that blends the worlds of Orchestra and Dubstep together and I gotta say, he has definitely mastered the art and technicality of it.

TRILLVO Interview | Ezekiel & KNOTZ

Starting of the new year, TRILLVO has released it’s first of many tracks. The 1st track we’ve released is ‘Angel’ by local Houston producers, EZEKIEL & KNOTZ. ‘Angel’ is a melodic, future bass track about never giving up and always keep looking for the one you love. The single is off of EZEKIEL‘s upcoming EP, ‘Prophecies‘. The two got together and created a beautiful track with a strong vocal feature. If you haven’t listened to the track, get ready to get into your feels.

We had a chance to talk to the two artists to see how they got together, what inspires them and what created ‘Angel’.

Let’s get to know you a little bit more, What got you into music?

EZEKIEL: Well, that’s a hard question because to answer that you have to know a little more about my life. Growing up my parents tried to shelter me from a lot of the world, and music was a big part of that. For the first 12 years or so of my life the only music I was allowed to listen to was music sung by my church choir, and anything played on the local gospel radio station. The only glimpse of any other music I ever heard was at school dances, and stuff my friends would play on the radio. I grew up learning piano, trumpet, guitar, drums, and eventually, as I heard more and more of the music that the world had to offer me, I started to want to create my own. That’s when I downloaded my first cracked version of FL studio 10, and took to learning exactly how to do that.

When did you realize you had a knack for singing and stage presence? How did that evolve into producing and vocal features?

KNOTZ: I’ve always been a big energy, all over the place kinda guy. As a kid, I grew up on a lot of musicals and what-not thanks to my mom.  I started doing theatre in 9th grade and just sorta fell into it all. Musical theatre was my primary thing, so doing vocal features just felt right. I got into producing to be able to express myself more musically, but I’m always down to write some lyrics and sing!

When producing your music what makes you realize you need vocals along the process? Is it something you realize in the process of or do you go in planning to build a track around vocals? When did you realize Jason was the perfect fit for ‘Angel’?

EZEKIEL: It’s funny you ask that because usually most of my music has little to no vocal elements involved at all. I had sent the finished track over to Jason and he came back with the lyrics and a rough recording in little under 2 hours and I knew we had something special on our hands. Interestingly enough it’s actually the only vocal element on the entire EP.

Tell us the story behind Angel

KNOTZ: Corey I’m sure has his own origins behind the actual beat of it. I was at the gym when he sent me the instrumental and I just felt it really needed a vocal element. He let me give it a go and I wrote the lyrics in two hours. Just came very naturally to me. It’s a song about trying and failing. Having someone who wants to be there for you when you don’t necessarily think you’re worth someone’s time. We all have our faults but there’s someone out there who can love you for those faults.

EZEKIEL: Well, I’ve actually had the bassline for Angel written for some time, although at the time of conception it sounded nothing like what the finished product ended up sounding like. A lot of my projects start from a bassline and develop into more from there, and Angel was no exception. I had a bassline and I had a sound I wanted to capture, and once I got it just right that’s when the inspiration for the rest of the song hit me. At the time I was going through a lot in my life, and the song was a manifestation of the way I was feeling at the time, but as the track continued to develop it quickly became a manifestation of how I WANTED to feel. Angel is a song I wrote for people who desire something or someone so badly they will do anything to attain it.

What are some of the best things about collaborating with someone?

KNOTZ: In this case where I just do the vocals, I Love molding a story lyrically with the Producers vision of the music. Telling a story melodically that feels like one cohesive thing is such a cool experience. When I’m actually producing a collaboration, I love learning all the tips and tricks other producers use on projects. Great way to learn!

EZEKIEL: Well considering that this and my other collab on the EP with the homie Don Rey are my first official collabs ever, I can only really speak from my own experience. Since both collaborations are different in nature (KNOTZ being a vocal producer, and Don Rey being a guest producer) they were both very different experiences.

With KNOTZ I had a song written and a vision for the finished product, so because of this he had a little less creative freedom with what he brought to the project. With Rey I had a basic concept, a tempo, and a key I wanted to write in, but I wanted him to bring his own sounds and ideas to the project because I knew that his sound would complement the vision I had in my head for the finished product. In a collab like that, there is a lot more bouncing back and forth between us and making sure our individual ideas were cohesive enough to make a good track.

That being said, honestly the best part of these 2 collabs was definitely how much I learned from working with these 2 incredibly talented artists. Getting a look into someone else’s creative processes is always a learning experience, and as producers and musicians we all stand to learn so much from each other.

Should we see any more collabs from you two in the future?

KNOTZ: I wouldn’t say no! Always a pleasure working with someone you vibe with!

EZEKIEL: Well….no spoilers but there may or may not be a remix EP/LP coming sometime in 2020…..so maybe.

We’re super excited to have these two producers on our radars. Be on the look for an EP from EZEKIEL titled ‘Prophecies‘ coming out January 13th and an EP from KNOTZ, titled ‘Neapolitan‘ on Valentine’s Day 2020.

Grab the Cash and Hit the Gas – M.E. Swank Dash

Completing our road trip to Trill Town, is M.E. Swank with Dash. If you’re a member of the Spotify fam you might have peeped this one early yesterday.

Swank sets the scene early for this final ride. The song gives me the feeling of a heist gone wrong and fleeing from the law. The build up being the the initial job. The drop coming in off what resembles tires peeling off as the vocals tell you to GO. You get a sense of weaving in and out of traffic to make the great escape. The break offers the tension of thinking you got away, creating it with the heavy breathing and sirens in the background. But you’ve been sighted and have to peel off again and return to the madness of the road to make the final escape…did you get away?

Catch Swank THIS Friday, 5.10.19, in AUSTIN at our EP Release Party with Hybrid Trap!

Louiejayxx Takes Us on a Midnight Ride

The second track off our collaborative EP, Road Map: Texas, introduces the first of our Texas talent; Louiejayxx. Gerardo Carrillo – Jerry or “Jay” and
Luis Carrillo – Louie. The “xx” symbolizing they are two people, brothers in fact.

The track “Headlight” starts off invoking the feeling of leaving late at night to start a road trip, your destination clearly focused in inside your mind. The headlights of your car lighting the path. The drop is reminiscent of letting the road take control as you use the twist and turns of the highway to release pent up emotions. Its been REAL hard sitting on this track and not being able to share it until now! I hope yall like it as much as I do, cause this bad boi is one WILD ride.

Catch Louiejayxx THIS Friday, 5.10.19, in Austin, TX at Scratchouse to celebrate the release of the collaborative EP.
