‘Bang Bang’, Fedde Le Grand and 22Bullets Shoot us with their Remaster of an Oldie

The two international producers recently joined forces to reinvent Nancy Sinatra‘s iconic song known as “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down). Both Fedde Le Grand and 22Bullets, whom recently made DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs, flipped this hit from the 60’s into one of the most modernized dance pieces we didn’t know we needed until now. If the goal for this track was to make their fans smile and dance while crying on the inside, then they definitely succeeded.

If you’re familiar with the original, this remix shows how the emotional state of this track can be turned into a completely different tone with both producers diverse production techniques. “Bang Bang” starts out with single-line riffs used by a guitar that quickly transform into more sharpened synths. In addition, Fedde Le Grand and 22Bullets blend some Tropical and Chill House beats to perfect the remastered track into a dance classic. The heart-felt and well-known lyrics weaved together with the producers pure electro groove sounds radiates how passionate the two are when it comes down to not only producing a banger, but also turning a melancholic tune into a dancefloor ready anthem! Both Duke & Jones and Nicole Millar Team up for their Progressive track, “Walk Away”

The powerhouse pair Duke & Jones have blessed us with their first single of the year titled “Walk Away.” The UK-based duo, widely known for their cutting-edge blend of genres, teamed up with fellow singer/songwriter Nicole Millar. With her divine vocals and the meaning behind them, the track is even more striking.

Both the incredible instrumentation and lyrics combined in the beginning embarks its listeners into a melodic journey. The mellowed out aura throughout the tune waves itself into airy synths. Some of the lyrics like, “My heart is already damaged, Need a moment before I leave, If I blink my eyes I can see, The numbness in my head” takes a whole new meaning to how complicated relationships can be. By the first drop, “Walk Away” is turned up a notch with some DnB, amplifying the sub-bass lines. To finish it off, the second drop is even more intricate and vibrant that it sheds light on how space-age both the track and artists are. “Foxfire” shines light on the next chapter from both producers in the sense that their craft sounds more sharpened. The track kickstarts with a melodic tone that swirls into a futuristic bassline. The silence between each snare takes the listeners into an intriguing depth that will leave you wanting more. Surely enough, the second half of the track is driven by some heavy bass and funk that turns the whole vibe into an experimental groove intertwined with future beats. Be sure to keep up with both talented artists in 2021 if you want more creative twists that both SAKA and SISKA bring to the electronic scene. COONE Drops his Single,”WANNA PLAY HOUSE”, as Part of his Newest Album

Belgian producer Koen Bauweraerts, widely known as COONE, has returned by dropping yet another high-powered single. The track, “WANNA PLAY HOUSE” happens to be one of COONE’s newest hits from his album titled, ‘Loyalty is Everything’. Besides spreading his love for Hardstyle around the globe, COONE himself has been working hard over the past year to put together this 12-track project alongside his very own label, Dirty Workz.

“WANNA PLAY SOME HOUSE” includes an array of multiple drops that nicely raise the bar each time the BPM intensify. The lyrics, which include “Y’all want this party started” follows each drop with heavy percussions blended with a sound where Big Room meets old-school Hardstyle. One of my favorite drops has to be the last one where you hear hard-hitting notes comparable to reverse bass, a perfect way to end the track. Surely, with this piece as a part of COONE’s new album (hard copies set to release in January 2021) it seems it’s going to be one of his most gripping to date. The dance music duo Sam Walker and Gavin Royce , a.k.a. Walker & Royce, dropped their latest single “Need2Freak.” The track, released via the admired Dirtybird Records, is a tech-house gem sure to leave you with the need to let go and dance your troubles away. Walker & Royce keep returning each time with incredibly unique sounds!  Over the past decade, the New York pair has gained a ton of popularity among the electronic scene and for good reason.

The intro to the “Need2Freak” grooves into lyrics that purely matches the soulful beat it follows. One of my favorite being, “I will never stop dancing.” “Need2freak” is layered with echoed synths combined with the futuristic sound within the voice singing, giving the the song a heavier feel and thumping beats. The duo unifies the tracks’ deep house genre with a heavy disco sound, drawing attention to Walker & Royce’s emotive element they seem to always bring within their course. Listen to the original mix now through the SoundCloud link below!

The two highly visionary producers, Kill The Noise (KTN) and Wolfgang Gartner, recently paired up to drop their latest single “Battlestations”. The two artists are best known for dropping some of the most exhilarating tracks in the EDM community ever since the early 2000’s. Kill The Noise, real name Jake Stanczak, and Wolfgang Gartner, A.K.A. Joseph Thomas Youngman, have very similar tastes when it comes to their sound designs. “Battlestations” is a prime example of how these two have proven their genre-mixing live up to the hype they’ve well-earned. The single begins with a classical sounding melody. The symphonic tune gradually sways into a psychedelic stairway backed up with an electrifying bassline. KAIVON’s Latest single Leaves Us “Free Falling” into our Hearts”

LA-based producer known as KAIVON is best described as an artist who mindfully re-invents his sound with every single he releases. The young producer, mostly known for his melodic and bass driven tunes, draws large emphasis on the concept of being born again. He shares on his socials how writing this latest track, “Free Falling”, describes his “struggle of using substances to escape the horrible thoughts [his] my head” and aims at turning it into an uplifting influence. “Free Falling” Like the majority of his tracks, beautifully gives you the sense of both time slowing down and escaping reality.

Photo taken from Facebook

“Free Falling” is a giant step towards KAIVON’s success as an artist, one reason being because it’s one of the first ones he’s provided with his own vocals. The diversified future bass tune starts out with a serene melody. Gradually, it ends up spiraling into rhythmic drum groove that embraces KAIVON’s signature drops. The serenity within the whole track holds an out-of-this world experience. In relation, KAIVON’s short yet expressive lyrics take the track to another level. “I take pills to take the pain away, Take Drugs To let me fly, I run away from troubles I can’t get out of my mind, I’m free falling Into your heart”. Altogether, the feeling of vulnerability within the lyrics delightfully tells his story with the idea of time, or in this case music, healing wounds through pure emotion. We can expect to see more of this new chapter KAIVON has put forward for 2021. Make sure to keep an eye out! Listen to “Free Falling” right now via the Soundcloud link below. Looking Back to some of our Team’s Best Halloween Memories

As it happens to be, Halloween festivals, shows, as well as some of the fondest memories we’ve all had during this time of year are definitely going to be different. Due to the pandemic, large-scale festivals seem to be out of the question, while certain shows are having to follow CDC guidelines. As a way to reminisce on some of the beautiful times we’ve had in the past, we’ve put together an uplifting read about some of our members most loving recollections they’ve had within the EDM community during this spooky season!

Nathen Lane (Photographer/Content Writer)
“My favorite memory themed towards Halloween was Nightfall Festival. All my friends were there and was all around just a great time for me and everyone that went. RIP.”

Photo taken from Nightfall’s FB, by Stuttrup

Krysta Zelaya (Content Writer)
“My favorite edm Halloween memory is from last year. My boyfriend and I did for the first time as our duo project ghosty&grimes. We’re very attached to one another and being able to dj as a duo instead of a b2b felt very special to us. It expressed the way we feel about our relationship which is that we’re not just two people or two artists we’re one soul. It was very meaningful to us to be able to express that musically.”

Bryanna Capoy (Content Writer)
“I wanna say one of favorite memories was Ubbi Dubbi 2019 because I was with a good group of friends each day and i was just in a really good mood myself and a good time in my life”

Michael Placencia (Content Writer/Leader)
“My fav memory would have to be Something Wicked 2017 here in Houston when RL Grime did his set. That was probably the best set that entire night! He played all of his new and unreleased tracks, and the energy that emanated from his set was simply astonishing. That was the best way to cap off the night, and it’s a set I’ll never forget”

Victoria Garces (Owner of TRILLVO/Photographer)
“My favorite Halloween memory is getting to be media at my hometown Halloween festival, Something Wicked, with my best friend and former owner, Raychel. We took the festival by the balls and made it ours. This really opened my eyes to what I wanted to do with my future, I knew I wanted to be around live music and be at the heart of everything.”

Lastly, for myself, my favorite memory up to date was my recent Freaky Deaky (Houston-2019). Largely due to being able to experience so many incredible sets, CloZee‘s being my favorite, with the amazing new and old friends I’ve made over the last couple of years. Moments like these with an amazing group of people have not only manifested so much love in my life, but it’s also allowed me to dive deeper into the realization of just how much music has impacted my life for the better!

Here’s to hoping next year is not only back to normal, but an even better time with all our close friends and favorite artists!
